    Multnomah Falls, Oregon, USA - Puzzle (110, 252, 500, 1014-piece)

Multnomah Falls is the most visited natural recreation site in the Pacific Northwest, with more than 2 million visitors stopping by yearly to take in the views. Fed by underground springs from Larch Mountain, the flow over the falls varies but is usually highest during the winter and spring seasons. This is also one of the best places in the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area to study geology exposed by floods. The Missoula floods were cataclysmic glacial lake outburst floods that swept periodically across eastern Washington and down the Columbia River Gorge at the end of the last ice age. These floods resulted from periodic sudden ruptures of the ice dam on the Clark Fork River that created Glacial Lake Missoula. Between 15,000 and 13,000 years ago.
